One of his favorite clients, the NYC Department of Health has been working with him for 4 years, creating campaigns that tackle such important social and health topics such as HIV/AIDS, PREP, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, and ALCOHOL / DRUG education and outreach.
It fits James' personal love for in depth portraiture and shooting real people in the campaigns. Portraiture is at the heart of his story telling. Whether a quiet one on one video interview, or a fun day with a cast of a TV Series, James tries to get an honest portrait of the people he photographs/interviews.
James' personal work is made using his Anthony Imperial Climax 8x10 Camera and using the Wet Plate Collodion process that was invented in 1852. The hand made images on metal and glass that are created using this process are one of a kind works of art and cannot be created in any other way. His work has been exhibited at a number of Juried Exhibitions. You can see his CV here: CV
